This is my baby sister and me. As her big brother, I am supposed to protect her from things. I can threaten to beat up her bullies and offer her a shoulder to cry on, I can take her out for ice cream and distract her from school, but I can’t save her from cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a fatal genetic disease, for which there is no cure. I will always feel helpless, unable to do my job as a big brother until a cure is found.
